Foundation Taking Applications for 2020 Spring Grant Cycle
Washington County, OH – Marietta Community Foundation is taking applications for its 2020 Spring Grant Cycle now through February 15th. Nonprofits or charitable projects, with a 501(c)3 status, are invited to submit an application for any upcoming projects their organization is planning to accomplish this year for the betterment of Washington County.
“It is always an exciting time when our grant cycles take place,” said Marcy Wesel, Chair of the Foundation’s Allocation’s Committee. “We interact with our local nonprofits, evaluate their proposals and help bring many projects to fruition for the improvement of our community.”
Last year, the Foundation gave $263,000 in grants to local nonprofits, the most money given in a single year. Grants are allocated from the Foundation’s unrestricted funds, and the Foundation’s Board and Staff are looking to continue the momentum in 2020.
“We are the premier resource for nonprofit and community improvement in Washington County,” said Allender. “We are here to make our community a better place to live and thrive… we never lose sight of that goal.”
Nonprofits can access grant cycle applications and guidelines on the Foundation’s website. Applications are due on February 15th and can be dropped off at the Foundation’s office located at 100 Putnam Street, Downtown Marietta.
