Wood County Scholarships

  • Eligibility:

    • Merit Based

    • Washington County or Wood County School

    • Current Senior

    • Must have participated in Marietta Soccer League Program

    • Must have earned a varsity letter in high school soccer

    • Associates, Bachelor’s or Certificate Program

    • 3.0 GPA

    Requirements:

    • A 500-word essay answering the following questions; How has soccer benefited you? What are your future plans after college (both soccer and outside of soccer)?

    • Print and submit the following along with your master application: Jim Roberts Marietta Soccer League Scholarship

  • Eligibility:

    • Merit Based and Need Based

    • Washington County or Wood County School

    • Current Senior or Nontraditional Student

    • Associates, Bachelor’s or Certificate Program

    • Major: Art, Graphic Design, art-related field

    Requirements:

    • A 300-word essay on your interest in art and why you want to go to art school, and what you hope to do with an art education

    • Detail on experience and any signed teacher evaluations of your art abilities that you think would be supportive of your application.

    • Print and submit the following along with your master application: Stanton Brock Art Discovery Fund Scholarship

  • Eligibility:

    • Need Based

    • 2.0 GPA

    • Pursuing Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Certificate/Technical Program, Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

    • Pursue Early Child Care, Education or Child Development curriculum

Timeline

January – March

  • Complete the FAFSA.

  • Complete the Master Application.

  • Obtain an Official Transcript from your most recent school.

  • Complete essays and other individual scholarship requirements.

  • Compile your application packet and submit it by Monday, March 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to:

April

  • Notify MCF if any application information changes.

  • Applications are processed and distributed to dedicated scholarship committees for extensive review and voting.

  • Selection notifications are emailed to recipients by April 25, one week before the Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

  • Recipients attend the Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

May – June

  • Recipients submit Scholarship Contract(s) by June 30, 2025.
