Meet the Board: Aleece Dye

For Aleece Dye, community has always been at the heart of who she is.

A proud graduate of Fort Frye High school, Aleece grew up in Beverly, Ohio, surrounded by the values of faith, hard work, and the importance of a strong community. Those lessons, passed down from her parents, instilled in her a deep sense of pride in family and a commitment to always lending a helping hand.

Today, she and her husband are raising their three children in the same close-knit community, ensuring they, too, understand the power of service, kindness, and integrity.

"My parents showed me how important it is to give back and support the people around you,” Aleece shared. “I want my kids to grow up knowing that same sense of responsibility.”

Aleece attended Marietta College, where she majored in graphic design, but her career took a different path when she joined Peoples Bank’s professional development program shortly after graduation.

She dedicated over nine years to Peoples Bank, serving in various roles, most recently as Vice President, Trust and Business Officer. Now, she has taken on a new role at WesBanco as Vice President and City President of Parkersburg, where she focuses on Commercial Banking in the region.

With her background in finance, Aleece understands the power of investing wisely and stewarding resources to create a lasting impact – one of the many reasons she is excited serve on the Foundation’s board.

“I love that the focus of the Foundation is not just on helping today, but also ensuring that those resources are in place to support our community for generations to come,” Aleece said.

She was invited to join the board by Eric Erb, someone she deeply respects for his long-standing commitment to the Foundation. “Eric is one of those people that if he believes in a mission, then I feel like I should too,” she said. “I have a lot of trust in him and the work he does, so when the opportunity came up to serve, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of.”

Her passion for giving back is evident in every aspect of her life. She spent six years on the Marietta Main Street board, is an active member in Marietta Noon Rotary, and her family is deeply involved in their church’s service activities.

Whether it’s volunteering or supporting her children’s involvement at Wood County Chrisitan School and in various sports, Aleece believes in leading by example. “If I am giving my time to something, I want my kids to see it and be involved too,” she said.

Now as a member of the Foundation’s Marketing Committee, Aleece is eager to bring her perspective to help amplify the Foundation’s mission. More than anything, she hopes to serve as a voice in the community, educating others on the Foundation’s impact and encouraging more people to get involved.

“I’m still learning about all the different ways the Foundation serves Washington County, but I’m excited to be part of something that truly makes a difference,” she said.

Her advice to others is simple but powerful: “Treat everyone with kindness, stand with integrity, and always stick to your word.” With her heart for service and deep roots in the community, Aleece is ready to make an impact with Marietta Community Foundation.
