Washington County, OH – Since its existence, Marietta Community Foundation has sought to cultivate a culture of generosity in Washington County. One method of cultivation has been the support the Foundation has given to local nonprofits through their bi-annual grant cycles.

For years, members of the Washington County community have donated to the Foundation’s Unrestricted Fund to help with these efforts. In honor of those in the community who have joined together through local philanthropy, the Foundation is proud to announce the Unrestricted Fund has been officially named Community Impact Fund.

“We wanted to give our donors ownership in their giving,” said Heather Allender, President & CEO of the Foundation. “We wanted this fund’s name to reflect its purpose. When people give to the Community Impact Fund, their local dollars will make a local impact.”

The Marietta Community Foundation meets National Standards for operational quality, donor service and accountability in the community foundation sector. Founded in 1974, the Marietta Community Foundation has grown over the years thanks to a number of generous gifts.

Marietta Community Foundation works to improve the lives of Washington County’s citizens and local nonprofits. If you are inspired to make a difference by contributing to the Community Impact Fund, please contact Heather Allender at 740-373-3286 or heather@mcfohio.org.
