Corporate Donor Advised Funds

For some companies, a donor advised fund is a strong option. MCF offers many of the same benefits as a private foundation, plus increased flexibility, tax advantages and customized services to support your charitable vision.

We can help develop a giving program tailored to your company’s specific interest areas and giving priorities. Once we know what you value most, we can quickly identify local solutions.

Once your fund is established, Marietta Community Foundation does all of the heavy lifting. Our grantmaking practice follows a strict due diligence process to ensure that your investments are only disbursed to reputable organizations. After we process the grant on your behalf, we follow up on your gift’s status to ensure that its usage matches your intent.

How it Works

• You create a fund by making a tax-deductible gift to Marietta Community Foundation.

• You give the fund the name of your choice.

• We work with you to design a grantmaking strategy.

• You recommend grants to your favorite nonprofit organizations.

• MCF issues the grant checks and maintains all of the records so you don’t have to.

• You benefit from tax advantages and personal philanthropic services, while the community benefits from your generosity.

  • Vision and Strategy Development: We help you create and implement a strategy for your philanthropy that will transform your values into goals and objectives.

• Grantmaking Support

  • Request Facilitation: Funding requests are managed through our specific grant cycles, making your selection process extremely simple. This ensures quality of requests and allows us to conduct due diligence prior to it reaching your desk.

  • Due Diligence: We conduct local site visits, research past accomplishments, review financials and assess organization leadership.

  • Reporting: Creation of requirements, monitoring compliance and performance, collecting and reviewing status reports.

• Administrative Services

  • Grant Processing: Ease the burden that comes with administering grant agreements, as well as the disbursement and tracking of grant funds.

  • Public Recognition: Your fund will be publicized online, in our Annual Report, and through press releases. Requests for anonymity are strictly respected.

  • Quarterly Fund Statements arrive automatically via mail or email. You can also choose to receive monthly or annual reports.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

• The Imagination Library ignites a love of reading by gifting books to children from birth to age five. Each book is personalized with the child’s name and mailed directly to their home to create an experience that makes books both exciting and special.

• Funding for the program is shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners, such as corporate sponsors.
