MCF Expands Leadership with Four New Board Members, Reaching Full Capacity

Marietta Community Foundation is excited to announce the addition of four new members to its board, bringing the organization to full capacity.

With a diverse range of professional backgrounds and a shared passion for serving the Washington County community, these new board members are dedicated to strengthening MCF’s mission of enhancing the region through philanthropy, education, and community-focused initiatives.

Aleece Dye

Aleece Dye, a proud resident of Beverly, brings over nine years of experience with Peoples Bank, where she currently serves as Vice President, Trust and Business Development Officer. Aleece brings a wealth of experience in leadership and community outreach through her career at the bank.

“I am really excited to join Marietta Community Foundation’s board,” Dye said. “The Foundation plays such an important role in Washington County, and I am honored to be part of its impact.”

Dan Fliehman

From Lowell, Dan Fliehman has 40 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry. Now retired, Dan is passionate about using his time and experience to educate people in Washington County about the Foundation’s mission and the ways it serves the community.

“I have seen firsthand how Marietta Community Foundation supports our community,” said Fliehman. “I believe a lot of people in Washington County do not fully understand how much the Foundation does, and I want to help change that.”

Jennifer Schenkel

Jennifer Schenkel, owner of Wark Accounting since 2015, is a respected leader in the local business community with a deep commitment to service. Having seen the Foundation’s impactful work firsthand, she is excited to join the board to help drive its mission and contribute to the community’s future.

“I have been watching Marietta Community Foundation’s work for years, and I am so impressed by the difference it makes,” Schenkel said. “Joining the board was a no-brainer. The Foundation has such a positive impact on the community, and I want to be part of that.

Michelle Secrest

Michelle Secrest has over 35 years of experience at Mar-Pak Inc., where she currently serves as President and CEO. Her experience with leadership, combined with her passion for local education and community development, makes her a perfect fit for Marietta Community Foundation’s board.

“It’s an organization that truly makes a difference,” said Secrest. “The Foundation’s scholarship programs and community initiatives are so important, and I am proud to be part of its future.”

Heather Allender, President and CEO of Marietta Community Foundation, shared her excitement about the new additions to the board: “We are beyond excited to welcome Aleece, Dan, Jennifer, and Michelle to our board,” said Allender. “With their leadership and insight, we are looking forward to expanding the Foundation’s impact and continuing to make a difference in Washington County.”
